In June it was rumored that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge had plans on moving their three children Prince George, 9, Princess Charlotte, 7, and Prince Louis, 4, out of Kensington Palace. In fact, Kate Middleton and Prince William had plans on relocating their family completely out of London. In a new report from CNNa “royal source” confirmed the news saying the couple hope to give their family a “normal life.”

The family will reportedly live at Adelaide Cottage, a four-bedroom house in the grounds of Windsor Castle in Berkshire. The family spent time at the residence during the COVID-19 lockdowns in the UK. The British county is roughly 40 kilometers from London. The move will also see them closer to Queen Elizabeth II who is currently residing at the castle while Middleton’s family also live in the same region. Thus far there are no plans to have live-in help according to the source, and the three children will attend Lambrook School.

The small family have not always lived in London and only moved to Kensington Palace in 2017 to carry out their royal duties so the move isn’t a huge shock. They used to reside in Norfolk in the eastern region of England.

The move comes after reports that Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice — the daughters of the disgraced Prince Andrew — are “struggling to remain cordial” with the couple. Andrew was stripped of his royal titles and excluded from official family events after accusations of sexual assault. He was once close friends with convicted sex offender Ghislaine Maxwell and the late Jeffrey Epstein.
