Who is the woman you design for? Who is your muse?
My muse is pure and unabashed matriarchal power and full feminine glory. I design for the individual who has courage, substance, and style. They possess femininity with a bite and the power to heal the universe.

In what way do you hope your collection makes a positive impact?
I hope my collection encourages people to embrace unfettered joy and self-expression in these difficult times. I truly believe that joy is the best resistance, as it leads to hope and optimism.

Do you think it’s important for virtual shows to recreate the vibe of a show or create an entirely new experience?
The beauty of this “new normal” we are all navigating is that we have the freedom to express ourselves however we choose. Designers can decide how to present based on what will convey the message with the most heart and truth.

What were you watching most while designing this season?
In the Mood for Love , a movie by by Wong Kar-wai. I also walked and biked the city, attended vigils, the Black Lives Matter protests, the Brooklyn Liberation March for Black trans lives, and demonstrations by The Stonewall Inn.

The Pre-Fall/Fall 2021 is my continued love letter to New York City. It is a celebration of self-expression, courage, and joy.
