Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik have stayed relatively tight-lipped since the birth of their daughter last month, preferring to keep details of their first child (including her name) out of the media. They have, however, shared their first family portrait, with Hadid uploading an adorable snap of the three in Halloween costumes with the caption “My first Halloween.”
In the image, which Hadid shared to Stories, we see Zayn dressed as a Slytherin character from the Harry Potter series, Gigi is dressed as Samus Aran from the Nintendo game Metroid, and their daughter is dressed as The Incredible Hulk. Though the shot sees the pair stare lovingly at their first-born, the baby’s head is hidden by a ‘Hulk’ emoji—meaning we don’t get a proper look at the genetically-blessed tot.
Hadid kept most of her pregnancy off social media, only alluding to the fact she was expecting in August, a month before she gave birth (she shared a selfie with Malik, who she has been dating on- and off-again since 2016, captioned ‘baby daddy’). The news first broke back in April, when an anonymous source leaked the announcement to the tabloids. Hadid later confirmed the rumors via an appearance on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon. “Obviously, you know, we wish we could’ve announced it on our own terms,” she said at the time. “But we’re very excited and happy and grateful for everyone’s well wishes and support.”
Zayn confirmed Hadid had given birth on September 22nd, sharing a sentimental announcement on Instagram and Twitter. “Our baby girl is here, healthy and beautiful,” he wrote. “To try to put into words how I’m feeling right now would be an impossible task… Grateful to know her, proud to call her mine, and thankful for the life we will have together.”
