Emily Ratajkowski has given an entirely new meaning to glowing when pregnant. Today, the model shared a series of images to social media baring all for renowned photographer, Renell Medrano. Captured within an empty apartment, Ratajkowski poses on a stair case, in the frame of a window overlooking New York City and in the bathtub.

The pared back shoot arrives as the 29-year-old nears the 36-week mark in her pregnancy. She has previously posed nude for photographers Inez and Vinoodh at 33 weeks and in a number of selfies on Instagram throughout her term. The entirety of her pregnancy has been in full public view as she has donned low-slung jeans and sexy bodycon ensembles – not a far cry from her usual street style looks.

She follows the likes of Chloë Sevigny and Jodie Turner Smith who have fully embraced their baby bump in the past.

From her dreamy babymoon to surprise baby shower, the model has shared every step of this milestone. But we never expected anything different. The self-confessed feminist and advocate for women’s rights has always been outspoken on how women should view and treat their body. Just one week ago, the London-born beauty announced her forthcoming bookMy Body.

Featuring a series of essays from Ratajkowski, she has described the project as, “a deeply honest investigation of what it means to be a woman.”

“My Body is a profoundly personal exploration of feminism, sexuality, and power, of men’s treatment of women and women’s rationalizations for accepting that treatment,” the synopsis reads. “These essays chronicle moments from Ratajkowski’s life while investigating the culture’s fetishization of girls and female beauty, its obsession with and contempt for women’s sexuality, the perverse dynamics of the fashion and film industries, and the grey area between consent and abuse.”

Ratajkowski has also revealed in an essay for Vogue that she and her husband, Sebastian Bear-McClard, will steer away from gender norms.

“When my husband and I tell friends that I’m pregnant, their first question after ‘Congratulations’ is almost always ‘Do you know what you want?’ We like to respond that we won’t know the gender until our child is 18 and that they’ll let us know then.”

We can’t wait to welcome Baby-Rata into the world.
