Dua Lipa has kind of become the queen of the all denim look, if you ask us. Her first appearance came weeks ago when she posted snaps to Instagram in a denim on denim two-piece outfit complete with pigtails. Now she’s done it again. While attending a party at Gigi Hadid’s Manhattan apartment with boyfriend Anwar Hadid, brother to Bella and Gigi, Lipa was spotted in an all denim jumpsuit, fit for everyone’s inner cowgirl.
After leaving Gigi’s party, Lipa and her boyfriend putzed around Manhattan. The denim jumpsuit was a major moment, with pearl bejeweled straps and neckline. It exudes Y2K fashion, with denim being a major red carpet choice in the early aughts, and Bella Hadid was also recently spotted sporting the trend in a low-rise skirt while in NYC.
The jumpsuit featured a couple of peak-a-boo moments as well, with cutouts going down the front and right side of the garment as well as some risqué pelvic cutouts that emphasize the return of the 2000s low-rise jeans trend. As summer winds down and the weather gets cooler, this is a trend that we’re sure we’ll see die out, as celebs opt for more covering clothing, especially those of us who know what NYC winters are like.
Lipa finished off her look in a pair of purple platform heels, fit for a disco. The heels matched perfectly with the subtle bejeweled adornments to the otherwise monochrome jumpsuit.
