Cuatro a\u00f1os despu\u00e9s de su muerte y con motivo de que el 8 de enero hubiera cumplido 73 a\u00f1os, el cantante David Bowie<\/strong><\/a> tendr\u00e1 un EP (extended play)<\/em> post-mortem<\/em> que incluir\u00e1 seis nuevas versiones de sus \u00e9xitos. La producci\u00f3n se llamar\u00e1 David Bowie, Is It Any Wonder?<\/em><\/strong> y podr\u00e1 escucharse v\u00eda streaming.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

The Man Who Sold the World<\/em> es el primer sencillo digital de este EP y ya puede escucharse. El single<\/em> fue lanzado para celebrar el cumplea\u00f1os de David, con pretexto del 50 aniversario de la grabaci\u00f3n de este cl\u00e1sico. Las nuevas versiones de las otras cinco melod\u00edas podr\u00e1n escucharse semanalmente \u2014todos los viernes\u2014 a partir del 17 de enero.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

La melod\u00eda en cuesti\u00f3n fue tomada de una sesi\u00f3n de radio en la BBC<\/em> en 1997 que se convertir\u00e1 en el otro nuevo lanzamiento que podremos escuchar este a\u00f1o, un LP y un CD de nueve pistas de edici\u00f3n limitada llamado ChangesNowBowie.\u00a0<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

PARLOPHONE TO ISSUE UNRELEASED BOWIE TRACKS \u201cWe spoke of was and when…\u201d It\u2019s likely that some of you have been expecting something on what would have been David Bowie\u2019s 73rd birthday, after announcements on 8th January for the past couple of years. Indeed, if the calendar has clicked over to that date where you are, then you have possibly already found something. Now it\u2019s 8th January in the country of his birth, here\u2019s that announcement\u2026 + – + – + – + – + – + – + – + – + – + – + – + – + Parlophone Records is proud to announce DAVID BOWIE IS IT ANY WONDER? a six track EP of unreleased and rare tracks to be released over six weeks. The first of these is a previously unreleased version of \u2018The Man Who Sold The World\u2019, released today as a streaming-only 1 track digital single in celebration of both David\u2019s birthday and the 50th anniversary of the writing and recording of this classic. Five more songs will be released on a weekly basis from 17th January. \u2019THE MAN WHO SOLD THE WORLD\u2019 (CHANGESNOWBOWIE VERSION) is taken from the 9-track session ChangesNowBowie, recorded for radio and broadcast by the BBC on David\u2019s 50th birthday on 8th January, 1997. This mostly acoustic session was a stripped back affair featuring some of David\u2019s favourites of his own compositions and was produced by Bowie himself, Reeves Gabrels and Mark Plati. CHANGESNOWBOWIE was recorded and mixed at Looking Glass Studios in New York in November 1996 during rehearsals for David\u2019s 50th birthday concert at Madison Square Garden. Gail Ann Dorsey (bass, vocals), Reeves Gabrels (guitars) and Mark Plati (keyboards and programming) accompanied David on the recording. CHANGESNOWBOWIE will be released in limited quantities on LP and CD for Record Store Day on 18th April, 2020. The cover art for the album will features a portrait of David by renowned photographer Albert Watson, taken in New York in 1996.
