Mientras muchas prefieren aprovechar su estatus de <strong>solter\u00eda<\/strong> para salir de <strong>fiesta<\/strong>, <strong>viajar<\/strong> o simplemente <strong>quedarse en casa con una pizza de pepperoni, una botella de tinto y Netflix<\/strong>, un grupo de mujeres de <strong>San Francisco<\/strong> se re\u00fane por una buena causa.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>\u201cSpinsters Of San Francisco\u201d<\/strong> es una <strong>organizaci\u00f3n sin fines de lucro<\/strong> fundada en <strong>1929<\/strong>, que persigue fines <strong>filantr\u00f3picos<\/strong> en pro de al menos 22 causas locales. Todo comenz\u00f3 el<strong>\u00a06 de noviembre<\/strong> de aquel a\u00f1o, cuando<strong> Patricia Tobin<\/strong> presidi\u00f3 la primer reuni\u00f3n de la organizaci\u00f3n en el sal\u00f3n de baile de sus abuelos en el <strong>1919 de la calle California<\/strong>, en esta ciudad.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">En respuesta a la versi\u00f3n femenina de<strong> &#8220;The Bachelors of San Francisco&#8221;<\/strong>, surgi\u00f3 esta hermandad que inici\u00f3 sus apoyos monetarios en <strong>1957<\/strong> y cuyo primer beneficiario fue <strong>Travel Aid<\/strong>. Hoy, el comit\u00e9 se conforma por siete miembros \u2013incluidas la presidenta y la vicepresidenta\u2013 que adem\u00e1s, poseen perfiles formados en prestigiosas universidades y por supuesto, fraternidades.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Su sitio oficial las describe como <strong><em>\u201c195 mujeres profesionales con educaci\u00f3n universitaria, entre los 21 y 35 a\u00f1os, que est\u00e1n dedicadas a proveer de un positivo e influyente impacto a la comunidad local\u201d<\/em><\/strong>. Naturalmente, formar parte suya no es cosa f\u00e1cil; a trav\u00e9s de un sistema de membres\u00edas, las aspirantes deben cubrir un estricto perfil.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Imprescindible haber vivido en el \u00e1rea de la bah\u00eda por al menos un a\u00f1o.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Tener entre 21 y 35 a\u00f1os.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Jam\u00e1s haber estado casada.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ser graduada de la universidad.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Tener un patrocinador (obligatorio)<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Su calendario se marca con diversos eventos de los cuales destaca el baile anual, ocasi\u00f3n en que las <strong>\u201csolteronas\u201d<\/strong> celebran y recaudan fondos para sus actividades.
