At just 22-year-old, a starry eyed Kate Winslet<\/a> was launched into global stardom following her leading role in James Cameron’s Titanic<\/a>. <\/em>Nominated for an Oscar for Best Actress in 1998, she appeared on the Academy Awards red carpet in a stunning emerald green Givenchy gown. Custom-designed by Alexander McQueen, it featured intricate gold embroidery and a matching bolero.<\/p>\n

Speaking to\u00a0People<\/a><\/em> recently,\u00a0she reflected on wearing the masterpiece.<\/p>\n

“It was like [an] embroidered sculpture,” Winslet said. “I have to be honest, the dress was not entirely comfortable to wear. Or sit down in. But it was worth it because he had made it.”<\/p>\n

Winslet admitted that even after 30 years she finds the red carpet “so nerve-wracking”. The 45-year-old now ensures that she’s comfortable in a bid to feel more relaxed in the spotlight.<\/p>\n

“I always just hope I can keep myself calm and feel comfortable actually and that my feet don’t hurt or I’m not on my period,” she added.<\/p>\n

In February, Winslet revealed that she and Titanic<\/em> co-star Leonardo DiCaprio would talk about sex while on the set of the film.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cYou know, some very, very personal things, asking each other for advice,\u201d Winslet told\u00a0Rolling Stone<\/a>.<\/em> \u201cNot necessarily comparing notes but sort of, \u2018No, don\u2019t do it like that, do it like this.\u2019 He\u2019s very good at that. I have to say, a lot of those sexual tips he\u2019s given me have worked. And I know it\u2019s vice versa.\u201d<\/p>\n

As for the duo’s steamy sex scene, she admitted it was a shame when it came to an end. \u201cDoing that scene, it so wasn\u2019t us. And yet we were so locked into what all that had to be about. The Rose in me was really sort of loving the Jack in him, actually. And even though I didn\u2019t feel that way about Leo, it was quite nice to sort of feel that way in the scene. It was quite lovely. And I remember lying there thinking, \u2018What a shame that\u2019s over.\u2019 Because it was quite nice.\u201d<\/p>\n
