To say that summers in Abu Dhabi<\/a> are hot is a bit of an understatement. Breathable modest wear is an absolute essential. Modest dressing is as individual as the woman herself and Somali fashion model, Halima Aden said, <\/strong>\u201cI don\u2019t believe in judging a women based on how little or much she\u2019s covered-up. I\u2019m willing to fight for you so you can wear whatever you want.\u00a0 I just hope other girls will stand up for me.\u201d<\/p>\n

We feel the same way as Halima and therefore curated a session at the Abu Dhabi Summer Style event hosted by Editor-in-chief, Alison Tay, at The Galleria Al Maryah Island<\/a> to style modest wear with breathable, natural fabric and lightweight materials.<\/p>\n

Breathable modest wear with free flowing linen and cotton fabrics, like flowing maxi dresses, loose fitting tops, and wide leg pants are not only great choices, but can look expertly styled<\/a> according to your body type. If you have wider hips, Alison recommends styling on-trend ombre maxi skirts with loose-fitting blouses. Look for a skirt is darker at the top and fades down to a neutral to pull the focus down from the hips.<\/p>\n

Long sleeve, loose romantic dresses not only provide (air) movement when you walk, but they are also on trend with the current cottagecore look. (Thanks, Bridgerton!) To modestly elevate the dress to be even more of the moment, pair it with a vest and candy-coloured<\/a> bag.<\/p>\n
