Bvlgari is marking Emirati Women’s Day in a particularly special way for 2026.<\/p>\n

Created in collaboration with Emirati trailblazer Butheina Kazim, founder of Cinema Akil, the Maison has unveiled an original short film titled \u0643\u0644 \u0645\u0627 \u062a\u062a\u0645\u0646\u064a\u0646 The Girl I Needed.<\/em><\/p>\n

The featurette comes as part of their Emirati Women’s Day campaign for the year, inspired by HH Sheikha Fathima bint Mubarak’s theme for the celebrations: “We emerge stronger and better”.<\/p>\n

The film runs for just over 90 seconds, following a young Emirati woman named Mariam across her life.<\/p>\n

It opens with the line: “Do you remember who you were before people told you who you had to be?” \u2013 the question that anchors the short film.<\/p>\n

From then, we see snippets of Mariam’s youth, adolescence and adulthood. Through its minimal dialogue, the film touches upon identity and belonging, showcasing self-empowerment as a product of personal development and the bravery to be true to oneself.<\/p>\n

Towards the end, Mariam is seen in an intimate conversation with an older relative, speaking to the enduring legacy of the generations that came before. Across her three ages, Mariam is seen wearing an array of pieces from Bvlgari’s Diva’s Dream collection.<\/p>\n

For more than half a decade now, Bvlgari has championed Emirati women every August through carefully told stories that align with its own ethos to “elevate life by revealing magnificent beauty”.<\/p>\n

Down to the cast and crew who worked on this short film, the focal point remains the women of the UAE. Apart from executive producer Kazim, key figures include lead actress Mariam Shamma, as well as writer and director Taqwa Bint Ali, produced in association with Studio HARAKA.<\/p>\n

The film, at its core, pays homage to these ancestors whose wisdom and advice transcend time. Through their silent victories and resilience, they have contributed to the accomplishments of the nation and inspired those who come next to continue to carve new paths that will break glass ceilings
