THE WORLD HEALTH ORGANISATION HAS ENLISTED @DUDEWITHSIGN TO HELP SHARE ACCURATE INFORMATION ABOUT HOW TO PREVENT THE SPREAD OF COVID-19<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

He shot to (Insta)fame thanks to his cardboard signs scrawled with wry observations on modern-day irritations including “Yes Netflix, I am still watching,” and “Why does it feel like Mercury is always in Retrograde” shot on the streets of New York.<\/p>\n

However, in the light of the global pandemic, Seth Phillips, the man behind the @dudewithsign account, has partnered with the World Health Organisation on a series of memes to share accurate information about how to prevent the spread of Coronavirus.<\/p>\n

The six memes – aimed at those who use Instagram as a news source – include messages such as “Elbow bumps are the new handshakes” and “Just chill. Your friends aren’t doing anything, anyway.”<\/p>\n

Enlisting @dudewithsign to disseminate best practices among his 6.4 million followers is just one of the ways Instagram is working with the World Health Organisation to endeavour to stamp out misinformation about the pandemic in our social media feeds.<\/p>\n
