This week, we\u2019re joined by Kuwaiti stylist and image consultant Hanya Alkhamis.<\/p>\n
With a loyal community online, Hanya has become known for her versatile style, which she explains to GRAZIA can’t be put in a box with both a “less is more” and a “more is more” approach. From valuing a great pair of jeans on the day-to-day to carrying the memory of her grandmother every day in the form of jewellery, Hanya’s personal style really knows no bounds.<\/p>\n
“What started as experimentation has turned into confidence and clarity,” she explains. “I now dress with a deeper understanding of my identity, my lifestyle, and how I want to feel.”<\/p>\n

<\/blockquote>\nHow would you sum up your style in three words?<\/h4>\n
Chic. Elegant. Versatile.<\/p>\n
Chic \u2013 I liked to look polished, effortless base. Elegant \u2013 I love refined silhouettes and timeless choices. Versatile \u2013 my ability to shift moods with a pop of colour, statement earrings, or a bold necklace without ever losing sophistication.<\/p>\n
What\u2019s the one item in your wardrobe you can\u2019t live without \u2013 and why?<\/h4>\n
I honestly can\u2019t live without jeans. A really good, well-fitted pair goes such a long way. I could wear them every day if I could. They\u2019re easy to dress up or down, and they always feel chic while staying minimal. A good belt is also a must for me it completes the outfit.<\/p>\n
Let\u2019s talk handbags. Do you have a go-to, or do you match the bag to the mood?<\/h4>\n
At the moment, my favourite bag is the Margaux 12 by The Row in taupe. It\u2019s one of those rare pieces that works with almost everything, so I naturally gravitate toward it as my go-to day bag for work and everyday outings. That said, I don\u2019t stick to just one bag; I choose based on my outfit, so there\u2019s always a bit of a shuffle. For evenings and night outings, I\u2019m drawn to smaller silhouettes. Lately, I\u2019ve been carrying my red Proenza Schouler shoulder bag for dinners and outings; it adds the perfect pop to a look. I\u2019m also currently eyeing The Attico La Passeggiata Medium leather tote as a potential addition to my day-bag rotation.<\/p>\n
Is there a piece of jewellery you wear every day? Tell us the story behind it.<\/h4>\n
I wear my grandmother\u2019s engagement ring every day; it\u2019s my way of keeping her close. I\u2019m instinctively drawn to vintage and heirloom jewellery, pieces that carry history. I usually wear at least three rings daily, all passed down through generations. Jewellery feels more powerful when it has lived a life before you.<\/p>\n
What\u2019s your style philosophy when it comes to accessorising \u2013 less is more or the more the better?<\/h4>\n
It really depends on the look. When an outfit is strong on its own, I keep accessories minimal. If it\u2019s simple and clean, I embrace more. I like that balance \u2014 knowing when to hold back and when to layer. Less is more when the outfit is doing the work. More is more when the look is simple. It\u2019s all about balance.<\/p>\n
Do you have a fashion signature \u2013 something that people always associate with you?<\/h4>\n
I think my fashion signature is denim jeans, a crisp white shirt, and kitten heels\u2014finished with my signature bun. It\u2019s a combination I naturally gravitate toward, and one people instantly associate with me.<\/p>\n
Do you think the way you dress is more instinctive or intentional?<\/h4>\n
I\u2019m definitely a mix of both. Some days, I wake up in a certain mood and dress instinctively. If I\u2019m feeling a bit funky, I\u2019ll add a pop of colour or go for bold statement earrings. I genuinely use clothing as a way to shift my mood and energy.<\/p>\n
Has your relationship with fashion changed over the years? How so?<\/h4>\n
Absolutely! My relationship with fashion has grown with me. What started as experimentation has turned into confidence and clarity. I now dress with a deeper understanding of my identity, my lifestyle, and how I want to feel.<\/p>\n
What\u2019s one outfit or accessory that instantly makes you feel like your most confident self?<\/h4>\n
