Collaborating with pioneering Emirati artist Shayma Al Mughairy, known as the Queen of Sand, this year’s majlis aims to bring the heart of Old Jumeirah to the acclaimed resort. With an installation by the artist entitled the ‘Gift of Time’, the symbol of sand is used to evoke the memories of Old Jumeirah and its Ramadan traditions from when it was just a seaside suburb. The Mandarin Majlis is open for both iftar (from Dhs395 per person) and suhoor (from Dhs300 per person). Iftar begins at sunset until 9pm with a generous buffet filled with Middle Eastern favourites, complemented by live cooking stations and signature dishes from Netsu by Ross Shonhan and Tasca by José Avillez, two of the hotel’s famed restaurants. Meanwhile, for suhoor, a more relaxed atmosphere awaits with a buffet of Arabian-inspired flavours, traditional desserts, refreshing beverages and curated shisha selection.

The Bombay Club at Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab

Photo: Supplied

For an Iftar with serious spice and soul, The Bombay Club at Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab is where you’ll want to be.
