It’s no secret that over the last 50 years, Dubai (and the UAE) has seen some of the widest development and expansion of any city the globe-over.<\/p>\n

First, there was Jumeirah \u2013 the original marker of Dubai coastal living. Then came Dubai Marina, Palm Jumeirah, Downtown Dubai and the Burj Khalifa, each chapter signalling a new way of life in the city, making way for a business and cultural hub. Dubai has always evolved through its neighbourhoods, and now, the next name being added to that lineage is Marasi Bay.<\/p>\n

Over the last few years, this up-and-coming area has been quietly yet decisevely rising along the Dubai Canal. And it’s clear Marasi Bay represents the city’s next era \u2013 one defined by waterfront living at its most refined.<\/p>\n

At its centre is a district imagined by OMNIYAT as an ultra-luxury waterfront neighbourhood where homes, offices, hotels, dining, leisure and wellness coexist seamlessly along the water. Anchoring the district is Marasi Bay Marina \u2013 OMNIYAT\u2019s private harbour designed to welcome superyachts, complete with a yacht club and the Signature Pavilion, a floating retail destination that sets the tone for the development\u2019s design-led approach.<\/p>\n

It was the arrival The Lana Hotel and Residences at the start of 2024, which really marked a defining moment for Marasi Bay. Not only was it the Dorchester Collection\u2019s first Middle Eastern property, the hotel, which was designed by Foster + Partners, immediately set a new benchmark for the Burj Khalifa District (also previously known as Business Bay). Home to the region\u2019s first Dior Spa, and crowned by a penthouse that achieved a record-setting price, The Lana redefined canal-side luxury. Along the water, The Lana Promenade extends the lifestyle offering with curated dining and retail spaces, as well as its own Isola Space, which is a contemporary platform for design and cultural exhibitions.<\/p>\n

Taking the development of Marasi Bay one step further, OMNIYAT is introducing Marasi Bay Island, where the Burj Khalifa District\u2019s only urban beach club. To the south of this, you’ll find Sunset Park is taking shape as a 30,000-square-foot private floating island for residents, complete with landscaped lawns, pet-friendly areas, private dining cabanas, a nearby padel court, and a children\u2019s park overlooking VELA Viento.<\/p>\n

Naturally, the district is not just a space for residential life, as working life is equally considered. Enter ENARA, Marasi Bay\u2019s ultra-luxury office tower, which will introduce hotel-style services, sustainable architecture and outdoor wellness routes to the working week.<\/p>\n

Already awarded LEED v4 Platinum precertification alongside WiredScore and SmartScore Platinum, ENARA is connected via a waterfront promenade that links directly to VELA, VELA Viento and The Lana, making for a cohesive, walkable district, something which many Dubai residents consistently crave.<\/p>\n

With sales at The Lana and VELA and ENARA now nearing completion, our attention turns to VELA Viento\u2019s Horizon Residences. Set to feature just 29 simplex and duplex homes rising more than 100 metres above the bay, the residences will have expansive terraces, a sky-level amenities deck, pools, spa, cinema, and shared access to the services of both VELA and The Lana.<\/p>\n

Over the past five decades, every era of Dubai has been defined by its continued development, and Marasi Bay is no different.
