After nearly a decade away from Hollywood, Meghan Markle is reportedly returning to the screen. The Duchess of Sussex is said to have joined the cast of Close Personal Friends<\/em>, an upcoming Amazon MGM Studios production starring Jack Quaid, Lily Collins<\/a> and Brie Larson<\/a>. And, in a fitting twist, Meghan will reportedly be playing herself.<\/p>\n

Filming is already underway in Pasadena, Los Angeles, where the former working royal was spotted on set earlier this week. The film follows two couples\u2014one famous, one not\u2014and explores the complexities of celebrity, privacy and modern friendship.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is a massive moment for Meghan and signifies a return to doing what she truly loves,\u201d a source from the production told The Sun<\/em><\/a>, adding that she had been \u201cswamped with offers\u201d but this project \u201cfelt right.\u201d<\/p>\n

For Meghan, 44, the role marks a return to her roots. Before her marriage to Prince Harry<\/a> in 2018, she was best known for her role as paralegal Rachel Zane on the legal drama Suits<\/em>, which she left ahead of her royal engagement.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a new chapter,\u201d she said at the time, reflecting on her decision to step away from acting. \u201cI\u2019ve ticked this box, and I feel very proud of the work I\u2019ve done there.\u201d<\/p>\n

Now, eight years and two children later, another chapter begins.<\/p>\n

Prince Harry is reportedly \u201creally supportive\u201d of the move, with sources noting he wants her to \u201cdo whatever brings her joy.\u201d<\/p>\n

Since stepping back from royal duties<\/a> in 2020, the couple have focused on their media ventures through Archewell Productions, as well as the Netflix reality show, With Love,
