Legendary Italian fashion designer Giorgio Armani has died aged 91.<\/p>\n

In a press release shared by the Armani Group, the sad news was confirmed that he died “peacefully, surrounded by his loved ones” on Thursday.<\/p>\n

In an official statement, the Armani Group team shared there was a “void left by the one who founded and nurtured this family with vision, passion and dedication”.<\/p>\n

“But it is precisely in his spirit that we, the employees and the family members who have always worked alongside Mr. Armani, commit to protecting what he built and to carrying his company forward in his memory, with respect, responsibility, and love,” the statement added.<\/p>\n

Known to be committed to his craft and his brand, the late Mr. Armani was not present at the recent Armani showcase at Milan Men’s Fashion Week in June 2025. It was a first-ever in his career, missing his own runway event, which spanned over five decades.<\/p>\n

The iconic designer launched his eponymous brand in 1975 and went on to become a household name, which just this year celebrated its 50-year anniversary.<\/p>\n

Armani made his mark in the Middle East over the years. The fashion designer opened the Armani Hotel in the Burj Khalifa, the world’s tallest building, in 2010.<\/p>\n

To mark its 10-year anniversary, the fashion mogul hosted a spectacular show, known as the One Night Only show, in Dubai back in 2021.<\/p>\n

At the time, the One Night Only series in Dubai showcased the brand\u2019s spring-summer 2022 collection and a glimpse of the Armani Prive Haute Couture\u2019s autumn\/winter 2021\/22 Shine collection.<\/p>\n

The event also featured a live performance from the lead singer Chris Martin from the Grammy award-winning band
