Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are engaged<\/a>!<\/p>\n

After albums of love songs and heartbreak ballads, the singer and the Kansas City Chiefs tight end, both 35, revealed the news in a joint Instagram post on Tuesday, August 26, revealing snippets from the intimate proposal.<\/p>\n

\u201cYour English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married \ud83e\udde8,\u201d Swift captioned the announcement, with the dynamite emoji playing on their initials, ‘T ‘n’ T’. The accompanying photographs show Kelce on bended knee beneath a pink-and-white floral trellis in a wild garden. Swift\u2019s hands cup his face as he holds the ring box and her waist.<\/p>\n

While it’s unclear what the occasion or location was, the pair seemed to be both dressed for a summer date\u2014Swift, in a striped silk midi dress by Ralph Lauren and tan block heels by Louis Vuitton, while Kelce donned a navy blue cable-knit polo shirt, also Ralph Lauren, white shorts, and brown loafers.<\/p>\n

The singer also sported a swipe of her signature crimson lipstick.<\/p>\n

In one shot, she offered a close-up of the stunning diamond engagement ring\u2014an Old Mine brilliant cut diamond designed with Kindred Lubeck of Artifex Fine Jewellery with an Art Deco gold band that feels true to Swift’s style. It also pairs quite nicely with her Cartier watch<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The proposal marks the culmination of a whirlwind love story that has unfolded over the last two years.<\/p>\n

Swift recently joined Kelce and his brother Jason on their New Heights<\/em> podcast, where she spoke candidly<\/a> about their relationship. \u201cI knew that he wasn\u2019t crazy the first couple of times that we talked,\u201d she said. \u201cHe [was] truly getting to know me in a way that\u2019s very natural, very pure, very normal.\u201d She described Kelce as \u201ca vibe booster in everyone\u2019s life\u2026 like when you push the enhance colour button on your phone.\u201d<\/p>\n

Earlier this month, that very podcast broke a Guinness World Record for the most concurrent views on YouTube\u20141.3 million\u2014when Swift appeared to unveil her forthcoming 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n

The couple’s story began in July 2023, when Kelce attended Swift\u2019s Eras Tour<\/a> in Kansas City. He later confessed he was \u201ca little butthurt\u201d after failing to deliver her a friendship bracelet with his phone number. But fate intervened: by September, Swift was spotted in Kelce\u2019s suite at a Chiefs game, cheering alongside his mother. \u201cBy the time I went to that first game, we were a couple,\u201d Swift clarified<\/a>. \u201cWe would never be psychotic enough to hard launch a first date.\u201d<\/p>\n

Since then, their relationship has unfolded through shared adventures, and now, a cinematic proposal that the world will celebrate.
