After the groundbreaking box-office success of Dune<\/em> in 2021, it was only natural that the saga would continue. When Dune: Part Two<\/em> arrived in 2024, it soared even higher than its predecessor, cementing the franchise as one of cinema\u2019s most compelling epics.<\/p>\n

One of the film\u2019s most striking backdrops was Abu Dhabi\u2019s Liwa Desert, which transformed into the mythical planet Arrakis \u2014 home of the iconic sandworms. With its towering dunes and golden horizons, Liwa provided the perfect otherworldly setting, capturing the mystical essence of Frank Herbert\u2019s legendary world.<\/p>\n

Now, Legendary Entertainment has confirmed that the much-anticipated Dune: Part Three<\/em> will once again return to Abu Dhabi to bring Arrakis to life, with Liwa likely to play a pivotal role in the storyline.<\/p>\n

Of course, filming in Abu Dhabi has meant spotting Hollywood\u2019s biggest names off-duty \u2013 whether casually strolling through the city or unwinding at celebrity favourite Anantara Qasr Al Sarab. But this time, all eyes are on one question: will Kylie Jenner be joining Timoth\u00e9e Chalamet in the desert?<\/p>\n

What We Know<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Production for Dune: Part Three<\/em> is already underway in Budapest. Despite swirling breakup rumours \u2013 fuelled by Timoth\u00e9e\u2019s absence from Kylie\u2019s 28th birthday \u2013 the pair were recently photographed together<\/a> at a cosy local coffee shop, putting speculation to rest.<\/p>\n

With filming officially beginning in July, the couple has still managed to prioritise travel and time together. That means there\u2019s a strong chance Kylie could join Timoth\u00e9e in Abu Dhabi, especially given that the Dune: Part Two<\/em> crew spent nearly a month filming in Liwa. That window could provide the perfect opportunity for her to combine a desert getaway with supporting her partner on set.<\/p>\n

What Can We Expect? <\/strong><\/h3>\n

The conclusion of Dune: Part Two<\/em>\u00a0left fans reeling. Paul Atreides (Timoth\u00e9e Chalamet) betrayed Chani (Zendaya) by choosing a political alliance through marriage to Princess Irulan (Florence Pugh), leaving Chani heartbroken as she rode off into the desert on a sandworm.<\/p>\n

That final scene all but guarantees that the Liwa Desert \u2013 and Arrakis itself \u2013 will remain central to the narrative arc of the next film. With Zendaya\u2019s character last seen amidst its golden dunes, it\u2019s no stretch to expect Liwa to feature prominently once again.<\/p>\n

Filming is expected to mirror the schedule of the second instalment, giving fans plenty to look forward to: more breathtaking desert cinematography, more of Timoth\u00e9e and Zendaya\u2019s on-screen tension \u2013 and perhaps even Kylie Jenner making a surprise appearance in the UAE.<\/p>\n
