After months of sweltering heat, the UAE is finally on the cusp of a seasonal shift.<\/p>\n

On August 24, the Suhail star made its first appearance on the horizon \u2013 a celestial moment that, for generations across the Arabian Peninsula, has marked the end of summer\u2019s intensity and the slow return of cooler evenings.<\/p>\n

Steeped in Arab folklore, Suhail\u2019s rising has always carried poetic meaning. For centuries, it has been said that when Suhail appears, the night air softens, the desert heat begins to ease, and a new rhythm of life unfolds. While it isn\u2019t visible to everyone just yet, by early September, the star will shine in full among the constellations, guiding us into a gentler season.<\/p>\n

What Does This Mean?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Symbolically, Suhail represents more than just astronomy \u2013 it marks a cultural turning point.<\/p>\n

Its rise ushers in the 52-day Suhail season, a transitional period that gradually shifts us from stifling heat to the first taste of winter\u2019s crispness. It is the Gulf\u2019s natural answer to the Western idea of autumn, a reminder to recalibrate, refresh, and prepare for shorter days, cooler nights, and \u2013 if we\u2019re lucky \u2013 the promise of rain.<\/p>\n

And what does this mean for us? It\u2019s time to think about transitions of another kind: breezy kaftans and summer silks will soon give way to light knits, chic closed-toe heels, and jackets for those unexpectedly cool evenings.<\/p>\n
