The thing about filming a highly anticipated film in the most populated city in the country is that spoilers are guaranteed\u2014even if it’s as subtle as a hair hue switch-up, as exhibited by Emily Blunt.<\/p>\n

While shooting a scene with co-star Anne Hathaway<\/a>, the actress debuted a peroxide-bright bob\u2014shadow root intact\u2014on the bustling New York set of The Devil Wears Prada<\/em> 2<\/a>. It\u2019s a dramatic departure from Emily Charlton\u2019s deep red locks of 2006, signalling that a transformation may be part of the plot.<\/p>\n

The look was paired with a black-and-red striped Coach sweater emblazoned with an apple motif and \u201cN.Y.\u201d embroidery layered with a silver chainlink tie. Dior sunglasses, tights, and a black Maison Margiela skirt, and maroon heeled ankle boots lent for the character’s signature drama.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s a tantalising tease for the sequel to the original cult classic, itself adapted from Lauren Weisberger<\/a>\u2019s semi-biographical novel of the same name about the cutthroat world of fashion publishing. In the first film, Emily Charlton was the razor-tongued, hyper-efficient assistant to Miranda Priestly (Meryl Streep<\/a>), Runway<\/em> magazine\u2019s imperious editor-in-chief.<\/p>\n

With photos released earlier this year of Blunt filming scenes in a head-to-toe Dior look, fans speculated that the character was now a high-powered executive at the fashion House. As the book’s sequel goes, she moves on from Runway<\/em> to a job that sees her wielding some major advertising power over her old stomping ground. But now, with Charlton\u2019s hair change and Coach outfit, it’s a wonder if the rumours stand.<\/p>\n

For the upcoming film, Blunt reunites with Hathaway\u2019s Andy Sachs, Streep\u2019s Miranda, and Stanley Tucci<\/a>\u2019s Nigel, joined by an ensemble including Simone Ashley<\/a>, Lucy Liu<\/a>, Justin Theroux<\/a>, B.J. Novak, and Pauline Chalamet, among others.<\/p>\n

While there aren’t too many details available beyond some pictured outfits<\/a>, The Devil Wears Prada 2<\/em> will glide into cinemas on May 1, 2026.<\/p>\n
