Lindsay Lohan may be in the midst of a press run<\/a> for Freakier Friday<\/em>, however, that doesn\u2019t mean she can\u2019t reference other iconic films of hers in the process.<\/p>\n

While promoting her latest project, Lohan has been showcasing her sartorial prowess with the help of stylist Andrew Mukamal. This week, the pair have done it again, all while paying homage to the 1998 classic The Parent Trap<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n

While the two films feature body switches of differing contexts, the reference still feels apt.<\/p>\n

At the start of the week, the actress headed to her Good Morning America<\/em> taping in a butter-yellow Balmain<\/a> minidress. The plaid number featured gold buttons and distressed thread detailing throughout. She paired the dress with a bright yellow headband and matching heels from Christian Louboutin<\/a>, as well as tortoiseshell sunglasses. She also carried a black Herm\u00e8s<\/a> Kelly.<\/p>\n

The look was distinctly Annie James from The Parent Trap<\/em>, and Lohan thought so too.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnnie James energy with a Freakier Friday Twist,\u201d she shared in an Instagram<\/a> caption.<\/p>\n

For her second engagement of the day, the star decided to represent the other twin, Hallie Parker. Lohan wore an embroidered Roberto Cavalli<\/a> minidress featuring bird and floral motifs. She paired the look with cat-eye sunglasses, gold jewellery, and a matching pink Cavalli phone case. The dress itself clearly referenced a similar ensemble worn by Lohan in the 1998 film.<\/p>\n

Lohan confirmed the homage, taking to Instagram once again to say, \u201cA little shine, a little silk, a lot of love and some inspo from Hallie Parker.\u201d<\/p>\n

Who knew that the press for the Freaky Friday<\/em> sequel would provide us a glimpse into what The Parent Trap <\/em>characters would be looking like two decades on?<\/p>\n
