This week, acclaimed human rights lawyer Amal Clooney sat down with her\u00a0longtime friend and fellow philanthropist\u00a0Charlotte Tilbury<\/a>\u00a0for a\u00a0Glamour<\/em><\/a> interview, in which she discussed her work, charitable causes, children, and, of course, her husband,<\/span>\u00a0George Clooney<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

This comes after Amal\u2019s visit to Buckingham Palace last week in support of The King’s Trust<\/a>, which is a charity she has long championed.<\/p>\n

The Trust\u2019s \u2018Amal Clooney Women\u2019s Empowerment Award\u2019 is a particular source of pride for the lawyer, which she describes as existing to \u201ctry to empower women through up-skilling and training in some of the most remote parts of places like Kenya, India and Pakistan.\u201d Through this venture, Amal has mentored women from around the world, many of whom have faced challenging life circumstances.<\/p>\n

Of course, this isn\u2019t all she is involved with. The lawyer also co-founded the \u2018Clooney Foundation for Justic<\/a>e\u2019 with her husband, teaches law at Oxford, and works as an attorney. With hefty responsibilities on her plate, according to Amal, George is a significant source of support through it all.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have a partner in life who is so supportive of what I do,\u201d she gushed. \u201cSo, I don\u2019t feel like I have to apologise for it or rein it in.\u201d<\/p>\n

She also went on to describe how his support has allowed her to carry out her work without motherhood<\/a> deterring her.<\/p>\n

\u201cI remember when I became a mum, which was obviously a new frontier. He was the first one to say, ‘I know you\u2019ve got this speech at the Security Council. You have to go, ‘I\u2019ve got the kids, don\u2019t worry about it’.\u201d<\/p>\n

The pair are parents to twins and have kept their children<\/a> out of the public eye, doing their best to reduce their exposure to \u201cintrusions\u201d. Though now and then they will share some insight into their personalities, as George did in a recent interview<\/a>,<\/p>\n

\u201cThey\u2019re really curious and funny and make us laugh.\u201d<\/p>\n

And on his wife, Amal? As always<\/a>, he was nothing but effusive in his words.<\/p>\n

\u201cI feel so extraordinarily lucky to have met this incredible woman, and I feel as if I hit the
