While Chanel’s legacy has been known for its plethora of iconic codes\u2013be it the little black dress, the tweed suit, the No. 5 perfume and the classic 2.55 bag\u2013one quietly defined and instantly recognisable motif has donned Maison’s identity since long before: the quilt.<\/p>\n

First appearing in 1906, at the very cusp of Gabrielle Chanel’s beginning, she found a fondness in the stitching motif. Taking her inspiration from blankets and jackets from the stables of Paris, it soon became engraved into the very core of the Maison’s brand. Later, in the roaring ’20s, she adapted the quilt across her interior decor and design.<\/p>\n

Now, in the contemporary era, with the rise of the modern Chanel woman, the quilt motif has been reimagined into something more precious. Finding itself not only at the centre of clothing design or on the cult-favourite bags but now more than ever on exquisite jewellery.<\/p>\n

Introduced in 2015, the COCO CRUSH collection, famed for its minimal, sleek frame and engraved diagonal lines, has surely become one of Chanel\u2019s most everlasting accessories. Through the years, the fashion house has re-introduced attractive, albeit minimal, amplifications to the jewellery line. But, neverthelesss, it remains enchanting and sought-after.<\/p>\n

Much can be said because of its exclusive beige gold offering, a colourway that perfectly flatters the skin with warmth and depth. Paired with the sculptural finesse of the quilted COCO CRUSH jewellery, the colour epitomises Chanel’s very essence of understated, bold, yet impactful statements.<\/p>\n

And now, just 10 years since its release, the COCO CRUSH welcomes a new fiery addition to its unapologetic history. A revamp of sorts, Chanel has introduced the jewellery line accented with ruby pendants, adding a resplendent contrast to the quilted pattern.<\/p>\n
