When Miranda Priestly told Andy Sachs in Paris to stop being ridiculous as \u201ceverybody wants this\u201d, she must have been referring to the news that Netflix has green-lit the second season of the irreverent romantic comedy, <\/span><\/span><\/span>Nobody Wants This<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/i> .\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>Debuting at number one, the Los Angeles-based series follows early aughts teen-drama television stars\u00a0Adam Brody and Kristen Bell<\/a> as they navigate their unexpected non-secular flirtation.<\/p>\n

Of course, the endless lust over Brody’s ‘<\/span><\/span>Hot Rabbi<\/span><\/span><\/a>‘ character Noah and the resurgence of our adolescent obsessions over his role as <\/span><\/span>Seth Cohen in <\/span><\/span><\/a><\/span>The OC<\/span><\/span><\/a> <\/span><\/i> would’ve been enough proof to convince the streaming conglomerate that audiences were clambering for more\u2014especially after the season one finale cliffhanger. But with <\/span><\/span><\/span>Nobody Wants This <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/i>debuting with 10.3 million views<\/span><\/span><\/a> in its first four days, it’s unsurprising that this renewal has arrived less than a fortnight after it aired.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Netflix\u2019s <\/span>Nobody Wants This <\/span><\/i>follows Kristen Bell as Joanne, an empowered and agnostic podcaster who hosts a dating-focused show, despite having difficulties finding her perfect match. After meeting Adam Brody\u2019s Noah, a sensitive (and attractive) Rabbi who has just ended a chaotic engagement, at a mutual friend\u2019s dinner party, they begin teasing with the possibilities of falling in love despite their glaring differences.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The series is based on executive producer and creator Erin Foster\u2019s real-life romance with her husband, Simon Tikhman. Like <\/span>Sex And The City\u2019s <\/span><\/i>Charlotte York<\/a> and Harry Goldenblatt or Sofia Richie and Elliot Grainge<\/a>, Foster converted to Judaism after dating as Tikhman wanted to marry a Jewish woman.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Season one is unclear if her fictional counterpart will continue down the same path\u2014you\u2019ll have to watch <\/span>that <\/span><\/i>ending Bat Mitzvah scene to understand why\u2014so viewers must eagerly await the next instalment to find out if the couple goes the distance.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
