Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak Al Ketbi<\/a>, Mother of the Nation, has always made pivotal moves for the people of Palestine\u2014and this time is no exception.<\/p>\n

Over the weekend, the always active and engaged Sheikha played a significant role in providing relief aid for the victims of the conflict.<\/p>\n

As part of the UAE\u2019s Operation Chivalrous Knight 3, she recently organised the delivery of over 170 trucks carrying more than 2,400 tonnes of supplies.<\/p>\n

These include food, medical provisions, children’s nutritional supplements, shelter tents, clothing, and other necessities.<\/p>\n

Sharing the news via her official website<\/a>, it was confirmed that the convoys carrying her humanitarian aid successfully entered the Gaza Strip through the Egyptian Rafah crossing.<\/p>\n

This latest initiative by the UAE royal further cements the UAE\u2019s collective commitment to supporting displaced Palestinians and aims to elevate their circumstances.<\/p>\n

Who is Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak Al Ketbi?<\/h2>\n

Sheikha Fatima was born in 1943 in Al Ain. She married Sheikh Zayed Al Nahyan in 1960. Eleven years later, in 1971, the United Arab Emirates was formed with the unification of the seven emirates, and her husband Sheikh Zayed was the inaugural president of the UAE, making him known as the \u201cFather of the UAE\u201d and, in turn, Sheikha Fatima the \u201cMother of the UAE\u201d.<\/p>\n

Taking on a leading female role in the UAE, Sheikha Fatima has gone on to be an advocate for women\u2019s education and rights over the last four decades.<\/p>\n

She founded the UAE\u2019s first organisation devoted to advancing women\u2019s equality and advancement in 1975, leading the nation\u2019s women\u2019s movement. Sheikha Fatima has been the chair of the\u00a0General Women\u2019s Union (GWU)<\/a>\u00a0since its founding when several new women\u2019s organisations joined together under her direction and
