Steeped in Hindu-Javanese history, the design elements are a hallmark of Indonesia\u2019s long-passed Majapahit Empire, a long-established Hindu dynasty that chronicles the marriage of a Javanese princess to a Balinese King in 1342. The kingdom’s architectural style is characterised by\u00a0an indoor-outdoor aesthetic, which is woven through every palatial square-foot of Jumeirah Bali. GRAZIA\u2019s favourite spot was undoubtedly Akasa, where your table overlooks sweeping views of the Indian Ocean. Book a table for sundowners and thank us later. And because we love a female force at the forefront of an establishment, we loved meeting Chef Joan Achour, who began her culinary journey with the hotel group at Jumeirah Mina A’Salam in Dubai. Her vision for Akasa is local\u00a0flame-grilled cuisine with an Asian twist, and is not one to miss.<\/p>\n

Naturally, the service is impeccable too: bonus points for the on-demand 24-hour e-butler service on Whatsapp, meaning any request, question or booking can be taken care of from the quiet tap of your phone.<\/p>\n

But no amount of foodie indulgences or hotel activities can compare to the utter bliss of simply lolling on your villa deck, watching Mother Earth put on a show in the form of Bali\u2019s famous sunsets. Each of the 123 villas feature an\u00a0open-air lens into nature\u2014from the bed or the giant bathtub.<\/p>\n
