The Miss Universe 2024<\/a> has been one of many firsts for the Middle East and Africa region.<\/p>\n

With a roster of influential women making strides for groundbreaking achievements, the Miss Universe contestants across the region have been making history at this year’s competition.<\/p>\n

From entering the top 30 for the first time to being recognised as a voice of change, these women have surely made an impression on everyone.<\/p>\n

Miss Nigeria<\/h3>\n
<\/blockquote>\n

Chidimma Vanessa, who represented Nigeria for the 73rd Miss Universe, officially earned the title as the highest placed African to place as first runner up after Zozibini in 2019. Despite facing controversies for entering the beauty pageant, Chidimma, currently a law student, has proved that with effort and diligence, she can make history.<\/p>\n

Miss Egypt<\/h3>\n

Logina Salah has been nothing short of noteworthy. A mother and a woman who breaks stereotypes and boundaries, Logina represented Egypt in a powerful new light. Being the first woman of Arab descent with a skin condition to take the stage, she has also taken the mantle as the first Egyptian woman to ever tap into the Top 30 in the history of Miss Universe.<\/p>\n

Miss Bahrain<\/h3>\n

Bahrain’s representative, Shereen Ahmed, has made her advocacy clear since day one. After the preliminary round where 126 contestants competed, Shereen was one of the Silver awardees who won a special prize. Towards the end of the three rounds, she was announced as a winner of the Voice Of Change Award, championing her dedication to single
