Bella Hadid<\/a> might be embracing denim jeans, leather chaps and cowboy boots<\/a> as part of her new rodeo-ready off-duty tastes, but it\u2019s apparent she still holds a soft spot for one of her most replicated silhouettes: micro mini shorts and viral shoes. Indeed, the supermodel was spotted in Los Angeles<\/a> recreating the ensemble she made viral during an innocuous stroll in September 2022.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

For the uninitiated, Hadid was captured walking through Manhattan with a slice of pizza and then-boyfriend art director Marc Kalman<\/a> wearing white briefs, a vintage t-shirt, a black and blue leather jacket and a pair of classic mini platform Ugg boots<\/a>\u2014a style that was slated as the fourth most coveted product of the quarter by fashion aggregator Lyst due to Hadid\u2019s endorsement.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

At the time, the outfit immediately did the rounds on social media, proved to be the impetus of the no-pants look<\/a> and resulted in searches for the shoes to skyrocket by an increase of 152%. So, when she stepped out today in an updated version, it piqued our interest.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

To contemporise the attire, Hadid relied upon the underwear-as-outerwear trend and an oversized jacket to give some structure to the wardrobe basics. Specifically, Hadid wore a ribbed white tank top with a scalloped hem, ultra-short hotpants, a brown suede jacket and rubber mules from Proenza Schouler’s recent collaboration with Sorel.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The latter debuted on the cult-favourite New York-based label\u2019s Spring\/Summer 2025 collection<\/a>, with co-founders and creative directors Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez explaining they expanded on Sorel\u2019s \u201cclassic Caribou structure and aimed at urbanising it by polishing it and stripping it back while respecting and preserving its highly functional qualities\u201d.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Of course, given Hadid is one of the first members of the celebrity style set to wear the piece off the runway, we can expect a slew of A-listers to follow suit.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Yes, the look still has legs even two years later, which is a testament to Hadid\u2019s sartorial influence and sway over the cultural zeitgeist. Don\u2019t be surprised when you see your favourite fashion influencer quickly adopt this as their new \u2018running errands\u2019 uniform\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n
