On-screen in her new movie Emilia P\u00e9rez, Selena Gomez is the electrifying peroxide-blonde cartel wife in Jacques Audiard\u2019s Spanish-speaking crime musical. But on the red carpet at the film\u2019s premiere in London, the former Disney Channel child star is the epitome of elegance and Old Hollywood glamour\u2014a look fitting for the Oscar buzz the daring offering is garnering.<\/a><\/p>\n

Arriving at the screening hosted during the BFI London Film Festival, Gomez doubled down on the hue of the season by wearing two back-to-back fiery red silhouettes.<\/p>\n

Perhaps taking cues from Cindy Crawford\u2019s iconic red Versace gown from the 1991 Academy Awards\u2014or even the sweet crimson Prada gown the Rare Beauty founder wore to the 2016 American Music Awards\u2014Gomez stunned in a custom gown designed by Oscar de La Renta<\/a>. Featuring a scooped neckline and subtle bow detailing at the waist, the 32-year-old marked her return to the red carpet with firm aplomb.<\/p>\n

Considering that this is Gomez\u2019s first on-screen role in a feature film since 2019\u2019s A Rainy Day in New York<\/em><\/a>, it\u2019s only right that the multi-hyphenate continues her leading lady era. Following suit, Gomez slipped into a skin-grazing cocktail dress from evening wear brand Rachel Gilbert.<\/p>\n
