A Dubai-based woman has called out a local bridal boutique for an unexpected wedding dress debacle.<\/p>\n
As wedding season continues to roll for everyone, but for Dubai-based content creator Aaina Pahwa and her soon-to-be-married best friend, an unexpected wedding dress debacle seemed to latch on.<\/p>\n
Taking to TikTok where Aaina has a growing 55,000 follower count, she revealed on the night of October 8, 2024, a shocking news just mere hours before her best friend’s wedding ceremony.<\/p>\n
Set to fly out in the early hours, the best friends visited the bridal boutique where the supposed wedding dream dress was to be checked for final measurements.<\/p>\n
However, due to certain issues with the embroidery and jewels falling off, the pair, already prepared for the flight, was met with a harsh truth.<\/p>\n

“Dubai people [and] customer protection. I have a question. It’s an SOS,” she said in her video, which was captioned with the hashtags “fail” and “disaster”.<\/p>\n
“My friend came to the bridal store\u2013it’s not defamation, it’s customer experience\u2013 and she bought this dress. It’s worth multiple paychecks. I can’t even disclose how expensive this dress is,” she added.<\/p>\n
Taking note of the time frame the dress was supposed to be done, she unveiled that it took a year for preparation. Aaina mentioned, “They told her it was going to take three months. It took over a year and her wedding is tomorrow.”<\/p>\n
With the best friends set to leave for the wedding, she further stated the issues they faced in terms of the dress. “We leave literally in the morning. There have been issues on issues on issues. The work is falling off. The dress is not pinned\u2013 just so many problems to the point where today was the final day. Imagine at night, the day before your wedding, getting a dress.”<\/p>\n
She claims the bridal boutique allegedly denied any source of compromise. Thee content creator added, “They are refusing to give a refund and refusing to be helpful. Mind you, it’s costed a bomb.”<\/p>\n
With the video on TikTok now amounting to 20,000 views, Aaina raises an important question to Dubai residents asking for aid. “My question is, what can someone do? They literally dress people on the red carpet. I know Dubai has all these customer Protection laws, but is there anything we can do?”<\/p>\n
Mirroring her best friend’s frame of mind on the problem, she further delved into the unequal treatments between everyday customers and high-end celebrities.<\/p>\n
“They\u2019re out there dressing all the big celebrities, and then when it comes to normal customers who take a lot to earn money and spend it on something like this dream dress, you mess it up and you refuse to give us a refund. And you refuse to talk to us and just be.
