Two for one! With the SAG-AFTRA strikes delaying the 75th Emmys to January 2024, the awards ceremony’s 76th iteration marks a glorious return to its usual September timeslot.<\/p>\n

Hosted in Los Angeles, the Emmys are one of television\u2019s biggest nights, and with so many incredible projects being rolled out over the last year, there is plenty to celebrate.<\/p>\n

Leading the charge for nominations is the Asian-American historical drama Sh\u014dgun<\/em><\/a>, which received over 25 nominations across key categories including Outstanding Drama Series. Set in feudal Japan, the FX epic has become the first-ever Japanese-language release to be nominated in the prestigious division. Culinary drama The Bear<\/em><\/a> comes in at a close second with 23 nominations.<\/p>\n

Elsewhere, Richard Gadd\u2019s global hit\u00a0Baby Reindeer<\/em>\u00a0joins\u00a0Netflix\u2019s reboot of\u00a0<\/a>The Talented Mr. Ripley<\/em><\/a>\u00a0as a contender for the Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series, while\u00a0Ryan Gosling<\/a> earns his first-ever Emmy nomination for Guest Actor In a Comedy Series after his ludicrous character breaks during his third time hosting Saturday Night Live<\/em>.<\/span><\/p>\n

In a slew of firsts, Selena Gomez<\/a> has earned her first nomination for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series for Only Murders in the Building<\/em><\/a>, Naomi Watts<\/a> is nominated for Best Actress in a Limited or Anthology Series for her role as Babe Paley in Ryan Murphy\u2019s drama Feud: Capote vs. The Swans<\/em><\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Baby Reindeer\u2019s<\/em> Nava Mau has become the first trans actress to be recognised in the Supporting Actress in a Limited or Anthology Series category.<\/p>\n
