Under the efforts of the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, 12 local Emirati jewellery designers have embarked on an exclusive programme to elevate their skills.<\/p>\n

In a collaboration between Dubai Culture and L\u2019\u00c9COLE Middle East, the School of Jewelry Arts supported by Van Cleef & Arpels, has launched the first edition of the Talent Atelier which started on the first week of September and will progress up to November 30, 2024.<\/p>\n

Aiming to strengthen the cultural and creative industry of the UAE, this collaboration is set to cement Dubai’s position as an epicentre of creativity and an incubator for regional talent.<\/p>\n

According to WAM<\/a><\/em>, the programme emphasises three pillars: the history of jewellery, the world of gemstones, and developing exquisite jewellery-making techniques.<\/p>\n

The 12 Emirati designers will be taking jewellery art courses and workshops at the designated L\u2019\u00c9COLE Middle East campus in Dubai Design District.<\/p>\n

Dr. Saeed Mubarak bin Kharbash, CEO of the Arts and Literature Sector at Dubai Culture, said to WAM<\/em>, \u201cThe Talent Atelier programme embodies the Authority’s cultural commitments and responsibilities aimed at supporting and empowering Emirati designers and entrepreneurs.”<\/p>\n

He further mentioned that this will “encourage them to unleash their talents and contribute to enriching the creative scene in the emirate.”<\/p>\n

Upon completion, the top six designers will get the opportunity to attend a five-day educational programme in the heart of Paris organised by L\u2019\u00c9COLE France & Europe\u2019s new campus, H\u00f4tel de Mercy-Argenteau on the Grands Boulevards.<\/p>\n

From gemology to learning the art and culture of jewellery making, the Talent Atelier will set a new benchmark for the UAE in elevating the educational standards in the field of luxury
