Meghan Markle is said to have particular \u201cregrets\u201d about how she and Prince Harry stepped back as senior members of the British royal family<\/a> in 2020. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex<\/a> firmly exited the monarchy after suffering a barrage of negative media coverage.<\/span><\/p>\n

Now, according to a Los Angeles royal commentator, the 43-year-old<\/a> \u201cdoes regret certain statements that she made\u201d. As per reports<\/a>, Markle\u2019s comments \u201cweren\u2019t received in the way that she had expected and several of her comments have backfired\u201d. The source claimed Markle has specific remorse over the \u201croyal racist controversy\u201d, which the insider said she and Prince Harry<\/a> \u201cdeeply regret\u201d. <\/span><\/p>\n

“Meghan wanted the takeaway from their Oprah interview<\/a> [in 2021] to be about her mental health, and I think Meghan regretted sitting down with <\/span>The Cut<\/span><\/i><\/a> [in 2022] because she provided endless commentary for her critics,\u201d they add. <\/span><\/p>\n

Since setting up roots in Montecito, Markle has rarely spoken out about her time under Buckingham Palace\u2019s rule. Rather, she has directed her focus to her suite of business ventures and building her lifestyle empire. Under this guise, the mother-of-two launched a conversational-style podcast called <\/span>Archetypes<\/span><\/i>, participated in the limited doco-series <\/span>Harry & Meghan, <\/span><\/i>honing in on her style influence<\/a><\/span>\u00a0and invested in female-founded small businesses like the powdered superfood company Clevr Blends<\/a> and luxury woven accessories brand Cesta Collective.<\/span><\/p>\n

She is currently working on launching <\/span>American Riviera Orchard<\/span><\/a>, <\/span><\/i>a product range allegedly involving \u201chome goods including edible treats like jellies, jams and spreads and tableware staples such as cutlery, table linens and drinkware\u201d, and filming a non-fiction show<\/a> for the streaming giant Netflix reported follow \u201cthe joys of cooking, gardening, entertaining, and friendship\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n
