The couple, who were married for ten years after meeting on the set of Darren Aronofsky\u2019s award-winning psychological ballet <\/span>The Black Swan<\/span><\/i>, separated after rumours of Millepied\u2019s alleged infidelity began circulating. <\/span><\/p>\n

Now, having finalised the divorce in March and on the promotional tour for her upcoming thrilling Apple TV+ series <\/span>Lady In The Lake, <\/span><\/i>Portman has revealed how profoundly impactful the impromptu encounter actually was. Speaking to <\/span>The Tonight Show <\/span><\/i>host Jimmy Fallon, Portman divulged that Rihanna should be every divorc\u00e9e\u2019s must-have. \u201cIt was an amazing experience for me,\u201d she began. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cI think every woman going through a divorce should get to have Rihanna say to her that she\u2019s a bad b****.\u201d Portman continued, telling the comedian that it was exactly what she needed and a \u201cformative moment\u201d. <\/span><\/p>\n

For the uninitiated, Rihanna<\/a> offered the highest of compliments to Portman when they first met, with the Grammy Award winner and ultimate bad gal telling the actress<\/a> she is a \u201cf****** fan\u201d. \u201cYou are one of the hottest b****** in Hollywood forever,\u201d she said to Portman\u2019s surprise and delight. <\/span><\/p>\n

Despite the praise leaving Portman feeling like she was \u201cgoing to faint\u201d because of how overwhelmingly iconic the chance interaction was, having the support of one of the fiercest women of all time seemingly provided Portman with the strength she didn\u2019t know she needed after her heartache. Portman and Millepied made one final appearance together in Sydney<\/a> attending the final of the 2023 FIFA Women\u2019s World Cup. Since then, Portman was seen sharing a smoke break with future Gladiator Paul Mescal<\/a>, demonstrating a high fashion spin<\/a> on the office siren aesthetic<\/a> and sartorially emulating her role as the ambassador<\/a> for the Miss Dior fragrance<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n
