Her Highness Sheikha Mahra bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum<\/a>, the daughter of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, appears to have announced her “divorce” in an Instagram post.<\/p>\n

A post shared to her official Instagram account cited a short statement appearing to be directed to her husband His Highness Sheikh Mana bin Mohammed bin Rashid bin Mana Al Maktoum<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The post read: “Dear Husband, As you are occupied with other companions, I hereby declare our divorce. I divorce you. I divorce, and I divorce you. Take care. Your ex-wife.”<\/p>\n

The pair have seemingly unfollowed one another on Instagram and Sheikha Mahra has removed any photos she had with Sheikh Mana from her profile.<\/p>\n

Some followers in the comments explained the royal couple had “blocked” each other on Instagram, whilst others speculated if Sheikha Mahra’s account had been hacked.<\/p>\n

Sheikha Mahra’s shocking announcement comes just over a year after the pair tied the knot<\/a> and just over a month after welcoming their first child together.<\/p>\n

It was announced on March 22, 2023 by the Arabian Royal Agency<\/a> that Sheikha Mahra and Sheikh Mana were engaged to be married.\u00a0Mere weeks later the engagement was confirmed by the couple themselves in an official post with a poem by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Bin Mana Al Maktoum, the father of Sheikh Mana, congratulating them.<\/p>\n

On May 28, 2023, the couple exchanged vows for their Katb Al-Kitab, the traditional Islamic marriage ceremony.<\/p>\n

Following Sheikha Mahra and Sheikh Mana\u2019s Katb Al-Kitab, the pair had a lavish wedding reception in Dubai in June 2023. On her wedding day, the bride was dressed in an ethereal white embroidered ballgown by Dubai-based designer Ezra Couture.<\/p>\n

Sheikha Mahra and Sheikh Mana welcomed their daughter<\/a>\u00a0in May 2024.<\/p>\n

The announcement of the birth of the royal couple\u2019s daughter was made by Sheikh Mana himself via Instagram on May 2.<\/p>\n

Sharing an Instagram story, he revealed his wife Sheikha Mahra had given birth. The baby girl is named after her mother with the same moniker, Mahra.<\/p>\n
