With great influence comes… great pressure, expectations and arguably sometime the need to always be picture-perfect?<\/p>\n

However, one individual who is never afraid to keep it real is Dubai-based entrepreneur Karen Wazen. Never one to curate a fa\u00e7ade for her audience, she’s consistently transparent with her 8 million strong audience, from the hardships of motherhood to overcoming childhood insecurities, and even the ongoing injustices sporting across the world. The Lebanese star has always wielded her power and platform to be candid on all of life’s happenings.<\/p>\n

Most recently she took to Instagram to post a series of pictures openly showcasing the vitiligo on her skin. This is a condition that causes loss of pigment in patches across the body, Vitiligo affects approximately one per cent of the world’s population.<\/p>\n

Instead covering it up with layers of clothing, makeup and other shields of choice, the mother of three decided to flaunt it proudly earlier this week to mark World Vitiligo Day encouraging everyone to embrace the skin they are in.<\/p>\n

“#Vitiligo is so special \ud83e\udd0d happy #worldvitiligoday \ud83e\udd0d #lovetheskinyourein,” she captioned a carousel of photographs showcasing her vitiligo to her followers.<\/p>\n

Not only is Karen known for keeping it real with her followers, but she’s also a serial entrepreneur of sorts. A woman of many talents, she launched her first eponymous brand, Karen Wazen Eyewear<\/a>, which has been seen on the likes of many A-list celebrities from Khloe Kardashian to Emma Stone. Earlier this year, the Dubai-based influencer extended her eponymous label into the world of jewellery, utilising the Karen Wazen emblem, to debut her first jewellery line<\/a> Bonds of Gold, which
