Something pink is coming to our screens – the iconic Elle Woods’ wardrobe that is!<\/p>\n

Yes, the fashionable lawyer is making a comeback, more than 20 years after we initially met her in the legendary chic-flick, Legally Blonde.<\/em><\/p>\n

This week, news broke that the cult film is getting a prequel series, sending 90s babies into a nostalgic frenzy. Titled Elle<\/em>, the show is currently in the early stages of production, and will see Reese Witherspoon act as executive producer.<\/p>\n

The show will follow the life and times of a young Elle Woods during her high school years. According to the official description, viewers can look forward to seeing “the life experiences that shaped her into the iconic young woman we came to know and love in the first Legally Blonde film.”<\/p>\n

WHO Will Be Cast In The Legally Blonde Prequel Series?<\/h3>\n

So far, there is no information on the cast members that have been confirmed for the show. What we do know is that Reese Witherspoon will be behind the camera as executive producer, along with Laura Kittle who created the show. For the titular character, reports are saying Sabrina Carpenter could be a strong contender or perhaps Lily Reinhart for her blue eyes and blonde locks?<\/p>\n

What Happened to Legally Blonde 3?<\/h3>\n

The third instalment of the beloved franchise has reportedly been on the radar for quite some time. Reese Witherspoon confirmed the film in 2018, and shortly after, revealed that she’d seen a version of the script. Mindy Kaling has signed on to be a scriptwriter while Jennifer Coolidge and Luke Wilson also expressed they’d be eager to return. However, there is no information on when filming will begin.<\/p>\n

When Will the Legally Blonde Prequel Series Be Released?<\/h3>\n

With scriptwriting and casting still in the works, report predict that the series will be released in late 2025 or early 2026.<\/p>\n
