Last week, the UAE witnessed the worst rainfall and storm in 75 years, since records began.<\/p>\n

With flooding across the seven emirates, the torrential rain and lingering deluge had a major impact on all citizens, residents and tourists, affecting roads and air travel, with a work from home order being issued for public sector employees and schools.<\/p>\n

And while the rainfall has eased since last week, according to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM)<\/a> more downpours are expected this week.<\/p>\n

Rain in the UAE: April 22 to 26, 2024<\/h2>\n

In order to keep citizens, residents and tourists informed, the NCM issued a schedule with the likely weather conditions throughout the week, which is likely to see rainfall every day, albeit in varying intensities.<\/p>\n

With an easy start to the week, light rainfall and partially cloudy skies are the expected conditions on Monday, April 22 and Tuesday, April 23.<\/p>\n

Rain expected to continue throughout the latter of the week, but is likely to ease over the weekend.<\/p>\n

Mostly concentered around the mountains, moderate showers are expected on Friday with “convective clouds” forming by the afternoon. Slight drops in temperature also expected mid week.<\/p>\n

Flooding our feeds, gripping photos and videos<\/a> from the heavy rain that halted the UAE last week were all over social media.<\/p>\n

Following the clean up of the storms in Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum praised those who assisted in the process.<\/p>\n
