Her Highness\u00a0Sayyida Ahad bint Abdullah bin Hamad al Busaisiyah<\/a>, the first lady of the sultanate of Oman, celebrated her birthday earlier this week.<\/p>\n

The Omani royal is known for her dedication to her country, philanthropic efforts and her continued support for women’s empowerment across the GCC. She’s also known for her impeccable taste in fashion, continually championing many regional brands.<\/p>\n

Bringing her own meaning to royal blue, the navy silhouette is classic and elegant. This abaya style garment is simple and sleek using velvet to add a sense of regalness, adorned by blue and silver embellishments.<\/p>\n

This bold purple and pink look is by Omani designer Amal Al Raisi, who regularly creates bespoke pieces for HH Sayida Ahad. This ensemble includes the intricate handwork and craftsmanship of the traditional Omani dress, which is paired with traditional Omani jewellery that includes her spiked cuff, ring, and earrings from Majliya.<\/p>\n

Another look by Amal Al Raisi, this elegant ensemble will always be one of Her Highness’ most memorable. The pink embroidery portrays a modernized version of a traditional Omani dress. The designer does this by creating beautiful floral details on the wrists as well as the neckline.<\/p>\n
