Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah<\/a> is continuing her plight for the people of Palestine.<\/p>\n

Amid the ongoing conflict in Gaza, the Jordanian royal met with the CEO of Save the Children International earlier this week.<\/p>\n

Inger Ashing briefed Queen Rania on the struggles of children in Gaza, where civilians are thought to be mere weeks away from famine.<\/p>\n

During the meeting, held at Queen Rania\u2019s offices in Amman, Inger explained that the situation in Gaza is unlike anything Save the Children International has ever witnessed, outlining children are dying from starvation and disease at the highest pace since records began.<\/p>\n

Save the Children\u2019s Executive Strategic and Policy Adviser Anita Bay Bundegaard was also part of the gathering, during which the group discussed means to alleviate the destructive impact of the war on the lives of children in Gaza.<\/p>\n

Queen Rania and Save the Children also underscored the need for an immediate and permanent ceasefire, as well as increased aid access by opening additional aid entry points into the Gaza Strip.<\/p>\n

Queen Rania’s advocacy for Palestine<\/h3>\n

Queen Rania has continously called for a permanent ceasefire and advocated for the people of Palestine.<\/p>\n

Just last month, Her Majesty delivered a powerful and insightful speech<\/a> about the utilisation of technology in storytelling whereby there has been a long pattern of overlooking and undervaluing the Palestinian story.<\/p>\n

“For too long, Palestinians have been dehumanized and discredited,” she declared. Living under catastrophic circumstances, she elaborated on how the continuing destruction the people of Gaza face should have ceased long ago.<\/p>\n

“We need a ceasefire,” she added. “A cease to the destruction\u2026 A cease to the displacement\u2026 A cease to the deprivation by design.”<\/p>\n

To date, 32,000 Palestinians have been killed since Israel launched its military offensive in
