Featuring the likes of Lady Gaga<\/a>, Glenn Close, San Antonio Spurs\u2019 and more, Apple TV+ has announced the premiere date of forthcoming documentary series,\u00a0The Me You Can’t See.\u00a0<\/em>The multi-part project is the brain child of co-creators and producers Prince Harry<\/a> and Oprah Winfrey<\/a>. It is hoped the production will help lift the veil on the current state of mental health and emotional well-being of people around the globe.<\/p>\n

Winfrey and the Duke of Sussex will guide honest discussions and open up about their own mental health journeys and struggles. It is well-known Prince Harry and wife Meghan Markle battled severe depression and anxiety during their time as senior members of the Royal Family. Markle admitted she had suicidal ideations<\/a> in an interview with Winfrey early this year.<\/p>\n

Featuring high-profile guests, alongside a wide range of people from across the globe living with the challenges of mental health issues, the series transcends culture, age, gender, and socioeconomic status in a bid to destigmatise a highly misunderstood topic. Furthermore it will aim to give hope to viewers who learn that they are not alone. Prince Harry and Winfrey partnered with 14 accredited and respected experts and organisations from around the world to help shed light on different pathways to treatment.<\/p>\n

\u201cNow more than ever, there is an immediate need to replace the shame surrounding mental health with wisdom, compassion, and honesty,\u201d said Oprah Winfrey in a press release. \u201cOur series aims to spark that global conversation.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are born into different lives, brought up in different environments, and as a result are exposed to different experiences. But our shared experience is that we are all human,\u201d said Prince Harry, The Duke of Sussex. \u201cThe majority of us carry some form of unresolved trauma, loss, or grief, which feels\u2014and is\u2014very personal. Yet the last year has shown us that we are all in this together, and my hope is that this series will show there is power in vulnerability, connection in empathy, and strength in honesty.\u201d<\/p>\n
