While no one on TikTok predicted Usher<\/a> to open the 2024 Super Bowl<\/a> Halftime Show with his track \u201cCaught Up\u201d, the 45-year-old eight-time Grammy winner knew exactly what he was doing, easing millions of viewers across the world into that warm, naughties nostalgia.<\/p>\n

This year marks 30 years since the release of the singer\u2019s debut album and at today\u2019s NFL game\u2014a charged and edge-of-your-seat-style match between the San Francisco 49\u2019s and Kansas City Chiefs\u2014Usher packed 11 of his biggest career hits into a 13-minute set. (It really makes you wonder how Jennifer Lopez and Shakira managed to split the time in 2020<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

From \u201cLove In This Club,\u201d to \u201cConfessions Part 2\u201d, to \u201cU Got It Bad\u201d and \u201cBurn,\u201d highlights included Usher bringing Alicia Keys<\/a> on stage to perform \u201cIf I Ain\u2019t Got You\u201d and \u201cMy Boo\u201d and Will.I.Am for \u201cOMG\u201d. Sweaty and bedazzled, at one moment the star ripped his shirt off, and then singlet, and even rollerbladed about the stage.<\/p>\n

But the climax\u2014the real moment 65,000 people in Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas came alive\u2014was when Ludacris and Lil Jon joined the main man to perform their hit track, \u201cYeah.\u201d You must watch it below.<\/p>\n

\u201cI definitely went through a lot of ideas of who I would have share this moment with me and I do feel like the people who are gonna share it deserve just as much recognition for what they do in their careers\u2014whether we have collaborated together or rather they\u2019ve had moments of their own,\u201d Usher told reporters in a pre-Super Bowl press conference, as per\u00a0Page Six.<\/a> \u201cThere has been these fantasy lists that have been going out, people trying to figure out what song I\u2019m going to perform first, middle, last. I was very mindful of my past, celebrating my present, which is here in Las Vegas, and thinking about where we\u2019re headed in the future. And that was really the idea.\u201d<\/p>\n
