There are few moments as candid as this. At the weekend in time for Mother’s Day, Jennifer Lopez<\/a> appeared on stage for Global Citizen’s Vax Live, one of the first live concerts America has experienced since the pandemic. The “Let’s Get Loud” artist noted she hadn’t seen her mother, Guadalupe Rodr\u00edguez, at Christmas for the first time due to COVID-19 and invited her to perform a rendition of “Sweet Caroline”.<\/p>\n

According to the 51-year-old, the song is particularly sentimental.<\/p>\n

“Mom, is it true you used to sing me this song when I was a baby?” Lopez asked her mum.<\/p>\n

“When I used to rock you,” she replied. “I would sing, ‘Sweet Jennifer.'”<\/p>\n

“Lets sing it like a lullaby, and let’s help her out,” Lopez told the audience. “Sing it to me just like you used to sing it to me.”<\/p>\n
