The Emmys are back!<\/p>\n

After delays in filming and the SAG-AFTRA strikes<\/a> saw a switch-up to the usual awards season calendar, the Emmys\u2014which typically take place in September\u2014are finally taking place on January 15, 2024. Held at the Peacock Theatre in Downtown Los Angeles, the ceremony, which quickly follows the Critics Choice Awards<\/a>, is the biggest night in television, where the shows that took over our screens revel in their success.<\/p>\n

Anthony Anderson<\/a>, comedian and star of Black-ish<\/em> <\/a>is hosting the evening\u2019s festivities, marking his first stint at the gig.<\/p>\n

As expected, HBO shows dominated the award nominations when they were announced in July last year. The top three nominees (Succession<\/em><\/a> with 27,\u00a0The Last of Us<\/em><\/a>\u00a0with 24, and\u00a0The White Lotus<\/em><\/a> with 23) were all smash hits from the network. Due to the delay in holding the ceremony, many of the shows date back a while. Other nominees this year include Netflix\u2019s Wednesday<\/em><\/a> and Stranger Things<\/em><\/a>,\u00a0Fleishman Is in Trouble<\/em><\/a>,\u00a0Only Murders In the Building<\/em><\/a>,\u00a0and\u00a0The Bear<\/em><\/a>\u2019s\u00a0first season.<\/p>\n

And with all the star talent gunning for the Emmy statue trophy, you can bet the fashion will be up to scratch.<\/p>\n
