She may not be in Memphis anymore but Priscilla<\/em> star Cailee Spaeny is still channelling the sweet demureness of her namesake character in a stunning floral custom Miu Miu<\/a> tea-length dress at the Golden Globes 2024<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The delicate white and floral gown features a sweetheart neckline (naturally) but a sheer midriff elevated it to the right level of modern. Make-up was equally sheer and minimal, adding to the sweetness of the finished look. Perhaps the smart thing to do after you’ve undergone treatment by of one of New York’s most in-demand facialists, the cult esthetician Joanna Czech<\/a> Keeping short of going too saccharin was the jewellery – a diamond necklace and earrings by Italian jewellery house Bulgari.<\/p>\n

Spaeny, 25, was nominated for her role in Sofia Coppola’s Priscilla, where she played the eponymous character alongside Australian star Jacob Elordi’s Elvis Presley. Her look plays straight into the films era and aesthetic: 1950s debutante sweetheart, complete with short bob inspired by the same decade.<\/p>\n

This isn’t the first time that the young actress, who also starred alongisde Kate Winslet in her award winning drama Series Mare Of Eastown, has turned to Miu Miu for her Priscilla<\/em> tour. At the London Film Festival in 2023, she wore a pastel pink column dress, also custom, while at the Venice Film Festival she opted for a white cady gown inspired by cuts styles from the 20s.<\/p>\n
