And just like that, the 81st Golden Globes have officially concluded!<\/span><\/p>\n

The 2024 iteration of the typically debaucherous event (a reputation the ceremony has received courtesy of its open bar) gathered the pre-eminent talents across film and television for a celebration of the year\u2019s theatrical releases. <\/span><\/p>\n

Taking to the floral step and repeat in Los Angeles\u2019 Beverly Hilton Hotel, illustrious A-listers both in Hollywood and abroad marked the first event on the award season calendar<\/a> with glitz and glamour in spades. We\u2019re of course referring to the myriad of custom and couture-level ensembles that paraded down the red carpet<\/a>. But more so than ever before did this attitude for scene-stealing allure extend into the stars\u2019 beauty looks. <\/span><\/p>\n

Florence Pugh, who wasn\u2019t nominated for anything but presented an award, delivered a high-octane dose of peroxide courage by styling her platinum pixie cut into a nouveau punk mohawk. Dua Lipa<\/a> maintained her new \u201cHoudini\u201d era of dressing by doubling down on her new cranberry hue hair colour. <\/span><\/p>\n

Elsewhere, Margot Robbie<\/a> proved why she was the acme of \u201cBarbie\u201d with an enviable lick of \u201cspun with gold\u201d blonde. Robbie\u2019s hair colourist and OLAPLEX global ambassador, Jacob Schwartz<\/a>, revealed that the trick to her \u201cSuperstar Barbie\u201d style was to achieve a \u201clit from within\u201d finish. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThere are still highlights and there\u2019s still dimension, but it looks more effortless,\u201d Schwartz said. Yes, even Barbies aren\u2019t immune to the merits of a lived-in or \u201crecession blonde,\u201d with Robbie giving the economically efficient hair colour her red carpet seal of approval.<\/span><\/p>\n

Across the hallowed carpet, breakout stars Greta Lee<\/a> (Past Lives<\/em>) and Ayo Edebiri\u00a0 (The Bear<\/em>) both interpreted old Hollywood\u2019s signature finger waves. But it was the likes of Billie Eilish and Ali Wong who proved to take the boldest (and therefore the most commendable) beauty risk of all on the red carpet: wearing optical glasses. A huge win for the poor-sighted community. <\/span><\/p>\n
