A new book by Omid Scobie has shed light on many longstanding rumours. But, according to the Daily Mail<\/a><\/em>, Endgame: Inside The Royal Family And The Monarchy\u2019s Fight For Survival<\/em> <\/a>has been pulled in Holland after its Dutch translation reportedly named the Royal who had \u201cconcerns\u201d about the skin colour of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle\u2019s son, Archie.<\/p>\n

The identity of the person has been subject to curiosity since Meghan appeared on that<\/em> \u201cwere you silent or were you silenced<\/em>?\u201d television special with Oprah Winfrey<\/a> in March 2021. At the time, Meghan told Oprah the palace had \u201cconcerns and conversations about how dark [Archie\u2019s] skin might be when he\u2019s born.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat? Who is having\u00a0that<\/em>\u00a0conversation with you? What?\u201d Oprah remarked, visibly shocked.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think that would be very damaging to them,\u201d replied Meghan. \u201cThat was relayed to me, that was Harry\u2019s conversations with family.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThat conversation, I am never going to share,\u201d Prince Harry said, later joining his wife in the interview. \u201cAt the time it was awkward, I was a bit shocked.\u201d<\/p>\n

The furore led Prince William to publicly clarify that the Royal Family were \u201cvery much not a racist family\u201d and Buckingham Palace called the claims \u201cconcerning\u201d before saying they would address the issues privately.<\/p>\n

In his new book, Scobie says libel laws prevented him from naming the person\u2014and claims a second person within the Royal household also echoed the remarks. But a page sent to journalists in Holland appear to contain the initial person’s name, revealed via letters written between Meghan and King Charles.<\/p>\n

It is not clear how a foreign version of the book contained a different edit. Dutch publishing house Xander Publishers confirmed to the Daily Mail<\/em> <\/a>that it had received a request \u201cfrom the US\u201d to halt sales.<\/p>\n
