It encompasses everything from depression and anxiety to chronic fatigue, stress and not being able to process emotions and feelings. <\/span><span style=\"font-family: Garamond, 'EB Garamond', Baskerville, 'Baskerville Old Face', 'Hoefler Text', 'Times New Roman', serif;font-size: 16px\">Over the past few years, progress has been made in eradicating the stigma associated with mental health, encouraging a constructive and important dialogue about devoting more time and attention to it.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/mohap.gov.ae\/app_content\/legislations\/php-law-en-68\/mobile\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">The National Policy<\/a> for the Promotion of Mental Health in the UAE identifies five main strategic objectives:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Enhancing the effectiveness of the promotion of awareness<\/li>\n<li>Developing, strengthening and expanding comprehensive, integrated and responsive services for patients of all ages<\/li>\n<li>Strengthening multi-sectoral collaboration to implement mental health promotion policy<\/li>\n<li>Promoting the prevention of mental disorders for people of all ages<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left\">Strengthening capacities and improving information systems<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you or someone you know is in need of help or someone to talk to, then these eight mental health centres in the UAE are here to lend a helping hand, a safe space and a kind ear.<\/p>\n<h3>Lighthouse Arabia<\/h3>\n<figure id=\"attachment_41492\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-41492\" style=\"width: 1024px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-41492 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/graziamagazine.com\/me\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/16\/2023\/10\/Lighthouse-Arabia.png?w=1024\" alt=\"Mental health center\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-41492\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Courtesy of The Lighthouse Arabia<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The Lighthouse Arabia is located in Dubai on Al Wasl Road.
