An 18th Century Lake Como residence owned by George Clooney, the 25-bedroom Villa Oleandra perched on the western shore of the Lago, is arguably one of the most surveyed pieces of celebrity architecture.<\/p>\n

Yet, the crown jewel in Clooney\u2019s real estate portfolio is reportedly going on the market, with the actor and his international law and human rights barrister wife, Amal<\/a>, allegedly seeking over USD $100 million for the lake-side estate. <\/a><\/p>\n

The Clooney\u2019s casa comprises of four adjacent villas, boasting over 100,000 square footage and amenities worthy of a high-profile occupant or even Italian nobility, including a pier for your speedboat, swimming pool, tennis court, a gym and even a pizza room.<\/p>\n

The 62-year-old actor disputed the reports to People <\/i><\/a>earlier, revealing via his representative: \u201cThe first I heard of it was when\u00a0Page Six<\/em> published the story. Everyone picked it up. It\u2019s not true.”<\/p>\n

However, according to the Daily Mail <\/i>and Italian magazine\u00a0Oggie<\/span><\/a>,<\/em> Italian realtor and owner of Engel & Volkers Lago di Como, Yasemin Baysal, confirmed the rumours, citing they already have a party that is \u201cvery interested: we have started all the necessary checks before submitting a possible offer”.<\/p>\n

As per The Washington Post<\/em><\/span><\/a>, the actor purchased the compound from the Heinz family for a reported USD $10 million in 2002, with the Wall Street Journal valuing the property in 2022 an estimated \u00a0$100 million<\/span><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

The mayor of Laglio even attributed Clooney\u2019s purchase of the property to a real estate boom in the area, in which prices in the region doubled since Clooney moved in. <\/span><\/p>\n

Of course, until the ink is dry on any agreements and the couple are out of escrow, it\u2019s difficult to validate any reports. It\u2019s unlikely that Clooney would want to sell the property, especially considering the sentimental value of the Villa. <\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

This is, after all, the residence where George and Amal met, with the barrister attending a dinner hosted by Clooney in 2013 on her way through to Cannes.
