Her Majesty Queen Rania welcomed her \u201cthird daughter\u201d Princess Rajwa into her family earlier this year. And it seems from the very beginning she has been keen to protect Princess Rajwa<\/a> and prepare her for the role she has stepped into.<\/p>\n

Appearing on The Today Show<\/em> in the US, Queen Rania opened up about her four children and the milestone moments they have had this year.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn the span of three months from the end of March to the beginning of June, I had two children get married and two graduate,\u201d Queen Rania shared. \u201cIt’s just this wave of emotions.\u201d<\/p>\n

During the interview, the Jordanian royal also discussed the subject of technology and the rise of social media, revealing she gave her daughter-in-law some essential advice when it came to dealing with online hate.<\/p>\n

\u201cJust before my son announced his engagement, I took Rajwa to the side and I told her, there\u2019s no such thing as 100 per cent approval rating,\u201d Queen Rania explained. \u201cYou\u2019re always going to have people that are against you. And the advice that I want to give you is, please try not to read the comments, because you\u2019re just going to have self-doubt, there’s always going to be negativity, and that negativity is not about you, it’s from the person, they’re unhappy in their own lives.\u201d<\/p>\n

She added that she encouraged her daughter-in-law to focus on what she wants to do and not let anyone \u201caffect your morale\u201d.<\/p>\n

Her Majesty also touched upon her daughter Princess Iman\u2019s wedding to Jameel Alexander Thermiotis<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cWith Iman, it was a new experience for our family because she’s the first one to get married,\u201d she said. \u201cAnd there was so much planning and anticipation culminated in a really beautiful and emotional day.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut nothing can prepare you for the moment you see your daughter in that white dress \u2013 the mixture of emotions of you know, pride at the strong and independent woman,\u201d Queen Rania said, but admitted there\u2019s also some \u201csadness\u201d for her daughter leaving home.<\/p>\n

Princess Iman<\/a> and Jameel Thermiotis announced their engagement in July last year and tied the knot at Beit Al Urdun Palace in Amman in March.<\/p>\n

Two months later, Crown Prince Hussein married Princess Rajwa<\/a> at Zahran Palace with a number of esteemed guests in attendance<\/a> including Prince William and Princess Kate, Sheikha Moza bint Nasser<\/a> of Qatar, Queen Azizah of Malaysia and more.<\/p>\n
